Foley sound is the reproduction of everyday sound effects which are added in a film to make the sound much better and link in well with the film. Footsteps are one of the well known foley sounds used. Jack Donavon Foley was the creator of foley sound in 1927. Foley sounds help create realism and audiences never realise that the sound effect was added they think it is all natural, without foley sounds films can be less entertaining and the noises would feel un natural.
